<br />r254 <br /> <br />3/8/65 . <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Chamber <br />Eugene, Oregon <br />March 8, 1965 <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Common;Council of the city of Eugene, :Oregon, was <br />called to order at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber on March 8, 1965 by His Honor <br />Mayor .Edwin E. Cone with the following . c'ouncilmen :present: Mes-srs. Chatt,- Hawk, Purdy; <br />McNutt, and Anderson. - Councilmen Lauris, Crakes, and Lassen were absent. <br /> <br />The minutes .of the adjourned meeting :held --February 24, 1965, as mailed to members <br />of the Council, were approved. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Mr. Eric Cooper presented a statement at the-Eugene City Council from the Citi- <br />zen's Council Against Water Fluoridation, copies of which were distributed to Council <br />members and the staff. The City Manager read the complete statement for the benefit <br />of the Council and :members of the audience. <br /> <br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Hawk to receive the statement and place it on file. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />The City Manager distributed copies of his report on the recommendations of the <br />Grand Jury concerning the City/County jail, municipal court, and city attorney's office. <br />No action was taken. <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />The City Manager also stated that changes had not been completed on the new crash <br />truck and that other tests are stili to be run. Rollcall <br />vote.
