<br />27~ <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />3/29/65 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Lassen that the bill be approved and given final passage. Rollcall <br />vote. All councilmen present voting aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered 13826. <br /> <br />1 Council Bill No. 6993 - Dispensing with election in City concerning annexation of Northwood <br />Estates (Crescent Avenue area), and <br /> <br />Council Bill No. 6994 - Annexing Northwood Estates, were submitted but not read, since it was <br />learned that one of the petitioners for this annexation did n~t own land ~redited to him. The~efore, <br />there was insufficient ownership represented to annex under the triple 2/3rds provisions. <br /> <br />Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Dr. Purdy to refer this annexation back to the Planning Commission. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />Resolution No. 1164 - Calling hearing on April 26, 1965 concerning off-street parking assessment <br />district in downtown area was submitted and read in full. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Lassen that the resolution be adopte~. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3 Resolution No. 1165 - Authorizing facsimile signatures of E. E. Cone, Mayor; Hugh McKinley, City <br />Manager; and Thomas Beaty, Recorder-Treasurer on checks drawn on the U. S. National Bank of Oregon, <br />was submitted and read in full. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Lassen that the resolution be adopted. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />Resolution No. 1166 - Transmitting to Planning Commission requests for rezoning - Planning Com- <br />mission hearing April 6, 1965, Council hearing April 26, 1965, was submitted and read in full. <br /> <br />Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Lassen to adopt the resolution. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />Resolution No. 1167 - Traffic - <br /> <br />l-hour parking Hilyard for 82 feet south of 8th <br />Prohibiting parking north side 24th for 80 feet west from Polk <br />Stop sign on Monroe at SP cros~ing, north and south <br />Stop signs Bethel Drive and Roosevelt Boulevard before crossing <br />Oregon Electric tracks (SP&S) <br />SP&S authority to install and maintain standard crossbuck signs <br />along Oregon Electric tracks in City (5th Avenue) <br /> <br />was submitted and read in full. <br /> <br />Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Lassen to adopt the resolution. Motion carried. <br /> <br />6 Resolution No. 1168 - Abatement Crystal Ice, 777 East Broadway (Campbell), was submitted but not <br />read. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Campbell was present and asked for reconsideration and that the Council be shown through the <br />premises at 777 East Broadway. The Council approved the date of Thursday, April 22, 1965, at 11:00 a.m. <br />for a tour of the plant. <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />Resolution No. 1169 - Abatement 2130 Pierce Street (Milton), was submitted but not read. <br /> <br />Mr. Milton was present and said that due to a serious illness he had been unable to complete the work <br />specified but that he has now engaged help and plans to reconstruct the house. He asked for an ex- <br />tension of time to allow completion of the work. . <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Dr. Purdy to withhold abatement for six months and review the situation <br />again at that time.
