<br />PIJ~ <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />L 3/22/66 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Chamber <br />Eugene, OrEg on <br />March 22, 1966 <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Common Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, was called to order at <br />4:00 p.m. on March 22, 1966 in the Council Chamber by His Honor Mayor Edwin E. Cone with the <br />following councilmen present: Mrs. Lauris, Messrs. Chatt, Crakes, Anderson, and Lassen. <br />Councilmen Hawk, Purdy, and McNutt were absent. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 1285 - Authorizing Charter amendment on May 24, 1966 primary ballot providing for <br />issuance of $15,000,000 revenue bonds and appointment of Treasurer for <br />Eugene Water & Electric Board - was submitted and read in full. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Crakes to adopt the resolution. <br /> <br />Guy Rogers was recognized and voiced a very vigorous protest against the proposal of the Eugene <br />Water & Electric Board and the operation of the utility in general.
