Adoption Plumbing Code - The Department of Building Inspection recommended
adoption of the Western Plumbing Officials Uniform Code, 1964 Edition, with
amendments, which is somewhat stricter than the State Code as to certain re-
quirements. The Code proposed for adoption had been approved by the local
Homebuilders Association. Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Chait to adopt
the Code as recommended. Motion carried.
e Don Patten of the State Board of Health stated that the Board is in disagreement with several points
as proposed in the Code, stating that in the Board's opinion some items are less restrictive than
those in the State Code. It was explained the Code had previously been approved by the local Home-
builders Association, and the Building Inspection Department feels the items at variance with the
State are more restrictive than the State Code.
