<br />construction of a sidewalk overhang was requested by the Regi~ter~Guard in connect~.'on
<br />with plans for construction of a second story on the bliilding,at ,10th Avenue and H~gh
<br />Street. The second floor roof projection would extend as far as the marquee on the
<br />first floor. Dr. Purdy moved seconded: by Mr; Chatt to approve a revocable permit for
<br />this overhang construction. Motion carried.,

<br />has dismissed the action brought by a group of' property owners in the Oakway Road:
<br />area seeking to nullify the rezoning of McKay property between Oakway Road,'Coburg
<br />Road and'Oakmont Road, and that the rezoning is ~alid. .He further stated that he
<br />was not aware of any move to appeal the case to the Oregon Supreme Court.

<br />5 10. Personnel Consultant. Two proposals for'conducting a salary survey and. developing
<br />wage and salary sched~les for the City of Eugene were presented, one by Public
<br />Administration Servic'e for $4,000 and one by Eric Carlson and Assoc-iat'es for
<br />$1,500. -It was e~plained that Mr. Carlson's firm -has made surveys in the past for
<br />the City, and the work ha~ been very satisf~ctory. Mr.'Chatt moved seconded by Mr.
<br />McNutt that -Eric Carlson 'and Associates' of 'S.alem be retained a~ a fee of $1,500.
