<br /> Adjourned meeting of the Common Council of the city of Eugene, Oregon - aclj,ourned from the meeting
<br /> held October 31, 1966 - was called to order at 7:30 p.m. on November 7, 1966 in the Council Chamber
<br /> by Council President Ray Hawk in the absence of Mayor Edwin E. Cone, who arrived later in the meet-
<br /> ing. The following other councilmen were present: Mrs. Lauri?,Messrs Chatt, Crakes, Purdy, McNutt,
<br /> Anderson, and Lassen.
<br /> Minutes of the Council meeting held October 31, 1966, as mailed to members of the' Council, were
<br /> approved.

<br /> Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Crakes that contract be awarded to low bidder on the project,
<br /> Jeske Construction Company, on their 10w'bid of $11,546.70. Rollcall vote. All councilmen present
<br /> voting aye, motio n carried.
<br /> Mayor Cone entered the meeting and assumed the Chair.
<br />2 Bids. Westmoreland Community Building
<br /> It was explained that Vik Construction Company had agreed to go ahead with construction of
<br /> the W'estmore1and Community Building on their original bid price of $195,600.00 with the
<br /> possible exception of fill dirt for landscaping. Mr. Vik wished to reserve the right to
<br /> acquire any additional fill dirt through the Parks Department at no added cost to him
<br /> should such fill dirt be found necessary. The cost of the fill dirt was estimated at no
<br /> more than $2000, and the City Manager recommended the contract be awarded to Vik Construction.
<br /> Mr. Hawk moved seconded by Mr. Crakes to award the contract to Vik Construction Company for $195,600.
<br /> Rollcall vote. All councilmen present voting aye, motion carried.
