The land was acquired by EWEB for trans- <br /> mission line purposes but is no longer needed. Mr. Anderson moved seconded by <br /> Mr. Hawk to approve the sale. Storm Sewer Policy - The Council's subcommittee on storm sewer policy, Councilmen <br /> Chatt, McNutt, Crakes,and Anderson, were advised the Homebuilders Association i <br /> anxious to meet and resolve the policy on storm drains within the new subdivisions. <br />I Arrangements were to be made for a meeting during the week of November 21, 1966. <br /> 3 16. Commendation. Ben Masengil - A letter was read from the State Compensation Depart- <br /> ment regarding a recent Labor Safety Seminar held in the McNutt Room. The letter <br /> commended Ben Masengil, who has been responsible for the City's safety program, <br /> for his excellent co-operation and his untiring efforts during the time he has <br /> directed the City's program. <br /> 4 17. Abatement Service Station. 3rd and VanBuren - Councilman Crakes commented on the <br /> delapidated condition of the building at this location and asked if something could <br /> be done to upgrade the condttion of the property. The Superintendent of Building <br /> Inspection was to investigate and report." <br /> Mr. Hawk moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris that Items 15 th~ough 17 of the Committee report be received <br /> and filed. Motion carried. <br /> ORDINANCES <br /> . <br /> 5 Council Bill No. 6781 - Annexing Lot 9, Block 4, 1st Addition to Calbrook (St. Paul's Catholic <br /> Church), submitted on August 24, 1964 and held pending dedication of street right-of-way, is now <br /> brought back and read the first time in full (Ordinance dispensing with election in City passed on <br /> August 24, 1964)(Street dedication has been made). <br /> Mr. Hawk moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris that the bill be read the second time by council bill number <br />I only, with unanimous consent of the Council.
