<br /> Regular meeting of the Common Council of the city of Eugene, Oregon was called to order at 7:30 p.m.
<br /> on December 12, 1966 by CouncIl President Ray Hawk in the absence of Mayor Edwin E. Cone. The
<br /> following other councilmen were present: Mrs. L~uris, Messrs; Chatt, Crakes, Purdy, McNutt,
<br /> Anderson, and Lassen.
<br /> Minutes of the Counci1'meetings held November ,7, 14'; and 21', 1966, as.mai1ed to Council: members,
<br /> were approved.
<br /> NEW BUSINESS
<br /> 1 Council President Hawk' introduced' Dr..Hugh Wood from the University 'of Oregon and a group of educa-
<br /> tors, representing 15 different nations, who are attending the University.

<br /> been granted $480,366 in planning funds, and that a reserve of $12,069,508 has been set up for the
<br /> Central Eugene Project.
<br /> 3 Parking- Assessment District ,7th and' WillameUe - The' City Manager' briefly' reviewed the'
<br /> survey and report on the off~street parkin'g assessment district for' a parking f'acility
<br /> at the northeast corner of 7th Avenue and Wi11amette Street. I

<br /> Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Crakes to approve the report and. call '8 publIc hearing on the pro-
<br /> posed assessment district. Motion carried. '
<br /> 4 Bids, Sidewalks in Skinners Butte Park - The following two bids were submitted on
<br /> November, 18, 1966 for construction of 'sidewalks in Skinriers Butte Park extension:
