<br />Adjourned meeting of the Common Council of the city of Eugene, Oregon - adjourned from the regular
<br />meeting held May 8, 1967 - was called to order at 7:30 p.m. on May 22, 1967 in the Council Chamber
<br />by His Honor Mayor Edwin E. Cone with the following councilmen' present: Dr.. Purdy, Mrs. Lauris,
<br />Messrs. McNutt, Anderson, Lassen, Mrs. Hayward, and Messrs. McDonald and Wingard~
<br />
<br />Minutes of the meet.ing held ,May 8, 1967,. as mailed, to Council members,- were, approved.

<br />Councilman McDonald issued an invitation to the Mayor and' Council. members to attend
<br />groundbreaking ceremonies for the new Marist High School south of the Belt Line Road
<br />east of ,the.WillameHe River on Tuesday, May 23,1967,11:00 p.m.

<br />Appointment. Civil Service Commission - A letter was presented from James Pearson sub-
<br />mitting. his resignation as :a- member of the Civil Service' Commission.

<br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Anderson to appoint John Chatt as a member of the Civil Service Com-
<br />mission for the term ending January 1, 1970, replacing James Pearson, resigned. Motion carried.
