<br /> Regular meeting of the Common Council of the city of Eugene, Oregon was called to order at 7:30 p.m.
<br /> on July 10, 1967 in the Council Chamber by His Honor Mayor Edwin E. Cone with the following council-
<br /> men present: Mrs. Lauris, Mr. Anderson, Mr. Lassen, Mrs. Hayward, Mr. McDonald, and Mr. Wingard.
<br /> Councilmen Purdy and McNutt were absent.
<br /> Minutes of the meeting held June 26, 1967, as mailed to Council members, were approved.
<br /> NEW BUSINESS
<br /> 1 Resolution 1433 - Changing governing pbdy of Urban Renewal Agency and appointing new Agency,
<br /> was submitted and read in full.
<br />e Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris to adopt the resolution. Motion carried.
<br /> 2 Swearing In New Agency Members - Mrs. Richard E. Miller, Roy Morse, Charles Duncan, and
<br /> Frank Shearer were sworn into office as members of the newly constituted Urban Renewal
<br /> Agency by the City Recorder. Member Harry Rubenstein was previously sworn in, and
<br /> Members Ray Hawk and Wallace Swanson will be sworn in at a later date.
<br />I 3 Paving 43rd from West Amazon to west - Contract award on this project was held over from
<br /> the June 26, 1967 Council meeting because of uncertainty of the legality of the street
<br /> dedication and subdivision. The City Attorney's recommendation was not to award the con-
<br /> tract, since there is now a court suit pending testing the legality of the right-of-way
<br /> dedication.
<br /> Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris to reject the bids submitted for paving 43rd. Motion carried.
