Rollcall vote. All councilmen present voting aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered 14934. 1. Council Bill No. 8112 - Paving 15th Avenue from Grant Street to Hayes Street; and Hayes Street from 14th Avenue to 15th Avenue, was submitted and read in full. Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris that the bill be held over to the August 14, 1967 Council meeting to allow proper notice of assessment to be given owners of affec~ed properties. Motion carried. 4 Council Bill No. 8115 - Levying assessments for sidewalk on northeast corner of 27th Avenue and Jefferson Street (adjacent to Tax Lot 18-03-06-34-4200) was submitted and read in full. Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris that the bill be held over to the August 14, 1967" Council meeting to allow proper notice of assessment to be given owners of affected properties. Motion carried. 5 Council Bill No. 8116 - Levying assessments for sidewalk on 28th Avenue from Friendly Street to I Lincoln Street was submitted and read in full. Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris that the bill be held over to the August 14, 196] Council meeting to allow proper notice of assessment to be given owners of affected properties. Motion carried. 7 Council Bill No. 8118 - Levying assessments for paving, sanitary and storm sewers in Empire Heights Addition; also sanitary sewer in area from Larkwood Street to 160 feet west of Fox Hollow Road from Sprague Street to north boundary of Empire. Heights Addition, was submitted and read in full. Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris that the bill be held over to the August 14, 1967 Council meeting to allow proper notice of assessment to be given owners of affected properties. Motion carried. RESOLUTIONS 8 Resolution No. 1434 - Calling hearing July 24, 1967 re: Abatement 1610 Grant Street (Mathers) was submitted and read in full. I Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris that the resolution be adopted. Motion carried. 9 Resolution No. 1435 - Calling hearing re: Amending 1967-68 budget publication, August 14, 1967, was submitted and read in full. The City Manager explained an error was made in a descriptive phrase in the 1967-68 budget pub1icatfu n- the item "taxes necessary to balance the budget" should read "total taxes to be levied." Hence, the need for a public hearing to correct the publication. In all other respects, the budget and amount of taxes to be levied are the same as previously approved by the Council. Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mm. Lauris to adopt the resolution. Motion carried. - Upon motion duly made, seconded, and carried, the meeting was adjourned to Monday, July 24, 1967. ~~y, IL..
