West ll~h - Ove!size,curb cuts were reco~e~ded by the Public Works I' <br />Department in connection with paving West 11th Avenue - One 65-foot at 3082 West 11th, . <br />one 50-foot at 2920 West 11th, and two 40-foot at 3~75 West 11th. <br />. , ~ <br /> <br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr, Anderson to approve the recommendation. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3 6. Curb Cuts. 150 North Cleveland- Mbs. Edna Schneider requested two l7-f~ot curb cuts to <br />serve driveways at 150 North Cleveland. The Public Works Department recommended approval <br />of two cuts.since the driveways wbicb wou~d,be served are now in~exist~nce. <br /> <br />~ . _ I <br />Dr. Purdy moved seco.nded 'by Mr. .Anderson to' approv~ the .cuts. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4 7. Curb Sidewalk. Elizabeth Street - Petiiioned by owners.of 80% of adjacent prop~rty. The <br />Public Works Department recommended approval since a setback walk would necessitate re- <br />moval of 13 trees and a curb walk would mean moving only several small shrubs. <br /> <br />Dr. Purdy move'd seconded by Mr. Anderson to approve curb sidewalk location'. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5 8. Curb Sidewalk. Pierce Street - The Public Works Department .recommended denial of a re- <br />quest for curb sidewalk location on Pierce between 22nd and 23rd because 'setback loca- <br />tion was authorize<:i by previo~s Council action and. some walks are already so construc"ted. <br /> <br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Anders~n ~o deny. Motion carried. <br /> <br />6 9. Parking Prohibition, West ilih - The ~ublic Works Department recommended probibition of I' . <br />parking on West 11th Avenue from Garfield Street to west of S~necaRoad. <br /> <br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Anderson to approve. . Motion carried. ~. <br /> <br />7 10. Coburg Road Right-of-Way - The City Attorney recommended settlement of condemnation for <br />Co burg Road right-of-way s~uth of WillakenzieRoad with Frank Schwartz for $1,356.98, <br />and at 1073 Coburg Road with Eugene Klink for $1,015.00. <br /> <br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Anderson to approve. Rollcall vote. All councilmen present voting ~ <br />aye, motion carried. <br /> <br />8 11. West Amazon Parkway Right~of~Way - The Public Works Department recommended purchase of <br />land between Chambers and Grant adjacent to the Amazon Channel for the West Amazon Park- <br />way right-of-way from Fri~da Braun for $2,750.00. ' <br /> <br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Anderson'to approve. Rollcall vote. All councilmen present voting <br />aye, motion carried. <br /> <br />9 12. Sidewalk. 1313 Pearl - The Public Wo'rks' Department recommended waiver of bid,procedure <br />and contract award to Charles Lake for $1,480.05 for construction of sidewalk at 1313 <br />Pearl Street.. <br /> <br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Anderson to approve. Rollcall vote. All councilmen present voting <br />aye, motion carried. . 1 <br /> <br />10 13. CLPC City Representative - The City Manager presented a lett:r from Lawrence Rice, ~ <br />executive secretary of Central Lane Planning Council, asking for appointment of a City <br />representative prior to the August meeting o~ the Planning Council. The method of <br />r:otating voting delegates for CLPC was discussed as well as the percentage of money <br />contributed to the CL~C by Eugene. <br /> <br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded. by, Mrs,.
