Echo Hollow Pool - Council members were given reports showing design development pre-
pared by Briscoe and Berry, architects, of the 50-meter swimming pool proposed for
the Danebo area. Jon Berry explained the concept and answered questions from the
Council. The City Manager explained that estimated cost of the proposed design is
$138,842 more than anticipated. Originally, funds were budgeted for a 25-meter ~ool.
Subsequent Council action authorized a 50-meter pool which would allow competitive
swim meets. The amount needed over budgeted funds to construct a 50-meter pool as
designed could be cut to $106,930 by deletion of the wading pool, some planting and
irrigation, exterior radiant heat, and diving tower, and with School District 52's
providing the interior radiant slab.

e

1/22/68 - 7 ~
