The Public Works Department recommended award of the contract on the 20th Avenue sewer to the low
bidder, subject to Council approval at the February 8 committee meeting at which time the project
would be explained. The Public Works Director said he received a letter of protest from one owner
of abutting property objecting to installation of the sewer. He said there is a planning problem
involved, but the Department does not want to wait until the February 26 meeting for award of the
contract. The Public Works Department also recommended award of the contract for sewer reconstruction
in the alley between Columbia and Moss, 19th and Fairmount, to the low bidder.
the award on the 20th Avenue sewer subject to Council approval at the February 8 comm~ttee meeting.
