Motion carried unanimously and the bill was read the <br />second time by council bill number only. <br /> <br />Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mr. Lassen that the bill be read the third time by council bill number <br />only,with unanimous consent of the Council. All councilmen present voting aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered l517l. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />Council Bill No. 8322 - Levying assessments for sanitary sewer in area between 24th Avenue and <br />25th Avenue from Hilyard Street to Alder Street, submitted and read the first time in full on Febru- <br />ary 26, 1968 and held over to this meeting to allow proper notice of assessment to be given owners <br />of affected properties, was brought back for consideration with one written protest on file. <br /> <br />A letter was read from William E. Sweetland, 2441 Hilyard Street, asking that his previous conveyance <br />of easement to the Eugene Water & Electric Board be considered payment of the assessment. <br /> <br />Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mr. Lassen that the bill be read the second time by council bill number <br />only, with unanimous consent of the Council, Motion carried unanimously and the bill was read the <br />second time by council bill number only. <br /> <br />Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mr. Lassen that the bill be read the third time by council bill number <br />only, with unanimous consent of the Council. All councilmen present voting aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered 15172 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />Council Bill No. 8323 - Levying assessments for sanitary sewer between Floral Hill Drive and <br />Riverview Street from Lot 61 to Lot 43, Overlook Addition, submitted and read the first time in full <br />on February 26, 1968 and held over to this meeting to allow proper notice of assessment to be given <br />owners of affected properties, was brought back for consideration with no written protests on file. <br /> <br />Mr. Donald Sproed said the cost of his house connection will be excessive because of the location of <br />the lateral adjacent to the property line. The City Manager explained that standard procedure was <br />followed and that location of a house on a property cannot determine location of the connection. <br /> <br />Mr. Andersonmoved seconded by Mr. Lassen that the bill be read the second time by council bill number <br />only, with unanimous consent of the Council. RoTIcall <br />vote. All councilmen present voting aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered 15174. <br /> <br />5 Council Bill No. 8352 - Dispensing with election in City re: Annexation of area at Green Acres <br />Road and North Delta Highway (Vik), was submitted and read in full, with copy of .agreement attached. <br /> <br />Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mr. Lassen that the bill be read the second time by council bill number <br />only, with unanimous consent of the Council. Motion carried unanimously and the bill was read the <br />second time by council bill number only. <br /> <br />Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mr. Lassen that the rules be suspended and the bill read the third time <br />by council bill number only, with unanimous consent of the Council.
