1.:311 e 3/25/68 I RESOLUTIONS 1 Resolution No. 1504 - Authorizing Foreclosure on Delinquent Assessment Liens, submitted and read in full on February 26, 1968 and held pending final notice to owners of affected properties, was brought back for consideration. Copies of "Manual of Foreclosure Procedure" were distributed to Council members. The Finance Di- rector said about half of the properties on the list have been removed since first reading of the resolution, either by payment of the lien or arrangements for payment. Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mr. Lassen to adopt the resolution. Rollcall vote. All councilmen present voting aye,rrotion carried. 2 Resolution No. 1515 - Authorizing submission to voters at May 28, 1968 election a measure for tax base increase to $3,557,460.00 from $2,357,460.00, was submitted and read in full. e Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mr. Lassen that the resolution be adopted. Rollcall vote. councilmen present voting aye, motion carried. All The City Manager explained that because of the change at the State level in showing taxes computed on true cash value, the tax base increase requested is shown in per dollar value instead of as a millage rate. 1 3 Resolution No. 1516 - Authorizing participation in Federal Rent. Supplement Program, was sub- mitted and read in full. The City Manager said this authorization was requested by Ya-Po-Ah Terrace and will permit a broader use by those in need of low-rent housing rather than limiting participation to the elderly as is the case in the recently authorized 300 additional units. Councilman Wingard asked if there was a limit set on the amount of subsidy, and it was agreed the resolution would be held until information is gathered on the dollar amount involved. 4 Resolution No. 1517 - Authorizing submission for recertification of Eugene's Workable Program to the Department of Housing and Urban Development was submitted and read in full. . Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mr. Lassen that the resolution be adopted. Rollcall vote. All councilmen present voting aye, motion carried. 5 Resolution No. 1518 - Transmitting to Planning Commission for hearing April 2, 1968 rezoning and use variance requests (Council hearing April 22, 1968) was submitted and read in full. Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mr. Lassen that the resolution be adopted. Rollcall vote. All councilmen present voting aye, motion carried.
