<br />The regular meeting of the Conunon Council of the city of Eugene, Oregon was called to order at 7 :3Qp.m.
<br />on April 8, 1968 in the Council Chamber by His Honor Mayor Edwin E. Cone with the following council-
<br />men present: Mrs. La~ris, Mr. Lassen, Mrs. Hayward, Mr. McDonald, and Mr. Wingard. Councilmen absent
<br />were Messrs. Anderson, Purdy, and McNutt.

<br />Minutes of the March 25, 1968 Council meeting, as mailed to Council members, were approved.

<br />NEW BUSINESS
<br />
<br />Miss Jo Anne Saraceno, newly selected Miss Eugene, was introduced by Ed Sardello of the
<br />Eugene Jay~ees, sponsors of the Miss Eugene cpntest. Miss Saraceno expressed appreciation
<br />for the opportunity of representing Eugene at the State competition for the selection of
<br />Mis s Oregon.
