<br />Letters of protest were presented from Mr. and Mrs. Galen Boles, 1283 West 4th, and
<br />from Vera Lambert, 1740 West 15th. Mrs. Lambert as well as R. B. Johnson, 394 Blair
<br />Boulevard, verbally objected to the alley paving.

<br />Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Anderson to table the item. Motion carried, Councilmen Hayward,
<br />McDonald, and Wingard voting no.

<br />wishes to proceed with the project on the low bid submitted.

<br />The Public Works Director explained that the sewer line from the Wi11akenzie Pump Station is a portion
<br />of the East Bank trunk system required to serve the Marist High School It was recommended to award
<br />the contract to the low bidder on the alternate (15" pipe - basic bid on 12" pipe). With regard to
<br />the sewer between 5th and 6th, Fillmore to the east, it was explained this is a reconstruction project
<br />to replace an inadequate line. Award to the low bidder was recommended.

<br />Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mr. Lassen to award contracts to the low bidder on each project, the
<br />award on the East Bank sewer to be made on the alternate bid. Rollcall vote. All councilmen present
<br />voting aye, motion carried.
