Eugene Renewal Agency Membership - Councilman Wingard said that because of . criticism for not attending Agency meetings he would like it made a matter of '-"- record that he is no longer a member of the Agency. His term expired July 10,1968. Mr. Hunt said that because of some question regarding "compatibility" of a City Council member's serving also as a member of the Renewal Agency, it was felt better for the question to be settled before a new appointment or reappointment to the Agency is made. II Mr. Lassen Moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris that Item 18 of the Committee report be received and filed. Motion carried. Councilman McDonald questioned the definition of the word "compatibility" as used in the committee repor t . The City Manager said the Department of Housing and Urban D~ye10pment raised the question whether Oregon State Law permits (1) a Council member to also serve as a Renewal Agency member, and (2) whether a member of the Council which is sitting as a review body of the proposed Central Eugene plan should also be a member of the body which created the plan. He said a recommendation will be brought to the Council on this matter. .
