Motion carried unanimously and the bill was read <br /> the second time by council bill number only. <br /> Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris that the rules be suspended and the bill read the third <br /> time by council bill number only, with unanimous consent of the Council. Motion carried unanimously <br /> and the bill was read the third time by council bill number only. <br /> Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris that the bill be approved and given final passage. Rollcall <br /> vote. All councilmen present voting aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered 15465. <br /> 2 Council Bill No. 8654 - Prohibiting Inhalation of Noxious Substances (Glue Sniffing) was sub- <br />.. mitted and read in full. <br /> Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris that the bill be read the second time by council bill number <br /> only, with unanimous consent of the Council. Motion carried unanimously and the bill was read the <br /> second time by council bill number only. <br />. Motion carried. <br /> 4 Resolution No. 1591 - Authorizing Agreement with Southern Pacific Company re: Crossing P~otection <br />. at Jefferson Street, was submitted and read in full. <br /> The City Manager explained that the agreement covers 50/50 cost sharing for installationcr drop gate <br /> crossing protection at Jefferson Street similar to that installed on Washington Street. <br /> Mr. Anderson moved semnded by Mrs. Lauris that the resolution be adopted. Motion carried. <br /> 5 Resolution No. 1592 - Authorizing Acceptance of Grant, FAA, Taxiway Rebuilding and Lighting _ <br /> $259,214.00 - was submitted and read in full. <br /> The City Manager explained that the grant when accepted would authorize proceeding with award of <br />,- bids for taxiway and runway overlays a~d lighting. <br /> Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris that the resolution be adopted. Motion carried. <br /> 6 Resolution No. 1593 - Traffic: Prohibiting Parking west side of Portland Street south of 29th <br /> Avenue for 245 feet, was submitted and read in full. <br /> Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris that the resolution be adopted. Motion carried. <br />. 7 Resolution No. 1594 - Transmitting to Planning Commission for December 3, 1968 hearing rezoning <br /> requests, was submitted and read in full. <br /> Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris that the resolution be adopted.
