Mr. Dickerson explained his reason for objecting <br />to the vacation was that he wanted to sell his property, and this added property would have to be <br />improved before he could sell it~ He feit the city should improve it. Director of Public 'Works <br />,explained that the city usually assesses the value of the property to owners when it is vacated, but <br />because an easement is being retained, it was recommended the property be vacated without fee, with <br />'the stipulation owners take it as is.
