One letter of protest was received by the city staff. Mr. Dickerson explained his reason for objecting to the vacation was that he wanted to sell his property, and this added property would have to be improved before he could sell it~ He feit the city should improve it. Director of Public 'Works ,explained that the city usually assesses the value of the property to owners when it is vacated, but because an easement is being retained, it was recommended the property be vacated without fee, with 'the stipulation owners take it as is. Mr. Dickerson asked if he had to acc~pt the land. The City,'" 'Attorney told him to consult his:attorney regarding this matter. " I A vote was taken on the motion as stated. Motion carried.
