<br /> were: Mrs. Hayward, Messrs. Purdy, McDonald, Wingard and Teague, Mrs. Beal and Mr. Mohr. Gribskov absent.

<br /> II Street Closures, FAME - FAME Festival (Film, Art, Music in Eugene), sponsored by the Eugene Downtown !!
<br /> II Association and the University of Oregon School of Music, has requested temporary closure of the Ii
<br /> Ii following street locations: Park Avenue from 6 to 11 p.m., July 23 and 24; Broadway between Charnel- i'
<br /> ton and Olive from '6 to 11 pi.W., July 23 and Broa.dway between Willamette and Oak from 6 to 11 p.m., il

<br /> I Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Mr. McDonald to approve the street closings, as outlined above. Ii

<br /> I Councilman Mohr expressed some reservations concerning setting a precedent for use of public right I:
<br /> II of way, and how future requests might be handled. He felt some limits should be established. Ii
<br /> I Wendy Ray outlined the wide variety of activities planned for this Festival, and explained that no II
<br /> II Ii
<br /> selling will be done on the streets.

<br /> Other Councilmen shared Mr. Mohr's concern and felt some procedures should be established concerning II
<br /> I use of public rights of jway, and types of uses to be allowed.
