The Council will re call a resolution adopted ,September 9, 1968 opposing discontinuance of service on this particular route. The Mayor said that \congressman Dellenback had advised him that be is making.a presentation .before the FICC noting that the ,Eugene City Council had adopted this resolution and suggested that the Co~ncil reaffirm its:position. !Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Mr. Gribskov to reaffirm the previous action of the Council taken. on September 9, 1968 by Resolution N . 1578, opposing dis,continuance of Southern Pacific. "Cas.cade" trains running between Portland and San Francisco. Motion carried. iDirector of Public Works informed the Council of a joint ,meeting to be held between the City Council ~lanning Commission and Eugene Renewal Agency ,for a review of the downtown mall development, Thursday, 0uly 31 at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber. I ~ouncilman Hayward commented that she had received,a letter from Mark Levy announcing that Tuesday, e ~uly 29 at 8:00 at the Episcopal Church of Resurrection, a program will be held explaining the '''Drop-In Center Program" co-sponsored by, the, University of Oregon and the Mental Health Clinic.
