Rollcall vote. All councilmen <br /> voting aye, motion carried. <br /> I Mrs. Hayward asked for an explanation of the expenditure for the Richards Property. Manager explained <br /> that this property was being purchased by city funds, with a portion allocated from Wi~lamette <br /> Greenway funds and Federal Open Space funds. The property was purchased by the Riverfront <br /> Deyelopment Corporation to hold for the City. Councilwoman B~al felt this was a high price, <br /> but 'the Manager explained this price was in accordance with appraisals, and was agreed to by the City <br /> I ORDINANCES <br /> I jCouncil Bill No. 8696 - Rezone to C-2 an area east of Coburg Road on the north side 'of Centen- <br /> I nial Boulevard (McKay and Parrish), subject to an agreement with the City for development, was <br /> submitted and read three times February 3, 1969, and held for development under planned unitddevel- I <br /> opment regulations and is now brought back for consideration, plans having been approved by the <br /> Planning Connnission., <br /> Mr. Wingard moved seconded by Mrs. Bea1 that the council bill be approved and given final passage. <br /> Ro llcall votE\. All councilmen voting aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered 15779. <br /> I Council Bill No. 869iZ - Rezone to R-l and R-2 area::between 16th and 18th and Lincoln and <br /> e Charne1ton (Wilson School Site) was submitted and given three readings on February 3, 1969 and <br /> tabled for further study, referred back to the Planning Commission, which affirmed its previous <br /> action and recommended rezoning to R-1 on the property south of 17th Avenue and R-2 on the property L;C~ <br /> north of 17th Avenue, and is now brought back for consideration and Council action. <br /> I Mr. Wingard moved seconded by Mrs. Beal that the bill be approved and given final passage.
