Pr9posed 1969-70 Audit Contract - Manager explained terms of contract, and said it is <br />in line with standards set by the industry. Staff has proposed that the firm meet <br />certain deadlines, but if the Council wishes to make changes, 'they may do so. <br /> <br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Gribskov to engage Lybrand, RossRBros. & Montgomery, <br />CPA, to prepare an audit for 1969-70, as recommended by staff. Condemnation of Sewer Easements - Property owners in Crest Heights area have been <br />contacted for necessary sewer easements. Authorization is requested to file condemna- <br />tion procedures to obtain easements on property of Claire and Patricia Brodkorb, Mrs. <br />A. R. Shaffner, and Orville and Ruth Justus. Staff will continue to negotiate until <br />the matters come to court. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Donald to take steps to file condemnation proceedings <br />in the above cases, and that staff continue to negotiate to obtain easements on property <br />outlined above, prior to trial date. Proposed Ordinance, 10th Eastbound, Charnelton to Willamette - Ordinance to extend one-way <br />system on 10th, eastbound only from Charnelton to willamette, will be on agenda of April <br />13 meeting. This is part of downtown plan, and should be in operation before the streets <br />are closed. <br /> <br />Mr. McDonald moved seconded by Mr. Teague to approve extension of one way street system on 19th <br />Avenue eastbound from Charnelton to Willamette. Motion carried. <br /> <br />8. Segregation of Assessment - Carl M. Jensen and Clara J. Jensen (400 feet south of Royal <br />between Bel tline and Danebo). Segregation of this assessment ,vill enable owners of <br />property to complete sale to State Highway Department of property purchased for pro- <br />tection of interchange between Belt Line Road and Roosevelt Freeway extension. Items from Mayor and Council <br />a. Earth Day - Mr. John Guitteau, representative from Churchill High, outlined an Earth <br />Day litter pick-up campaign for Churchill High School. He requested that businessmen <br />join them, and suggested that other schools participate in other ways to call atten- <br />tion to this day.
