Propane Fuel Conversion - Counciilifuan Mohr introduced Mr. Roy Bishop who distributed <br />information pertaining to use of propane as a fuel for combustion engines. Budget Request - Councilman Purdy asked that a request be included in the air pollution <br />budget to cover cost of filmed documentary of last year's burning and this year's <br />burning. Staff was instructed to contact committee members regarding the request. <br /> <br />d. New Member of Staff - Mr. Mills introduced Mr. John Rutledge, who will be filling the <br />Community Relations position. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. McDonald moved seconded by Mr. Teague to receive and file items lb, lc and ld of the Committee <br />report. ERA Request for Vairance to Noise Pollution Ordinance - Mr. Dave Hunt explained <br />timing problems, and that contractors would need two shifts to meet deadlines in <br />Urban Renewal constructmon. He requested a waiver to allow work to proceed on the <br />project one hour earlier and one hour later than allowed by present ordinance. <br />It will take almost a year to complete the construction portion of the project. <br /> <br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Gribskov to grant a waiver of noise restrictions <br />for one hour in the morning and one in the evening to Eugene Renewal Agency. This <br />will allow routine construction activities from S a.m. to 11 p.m. if necessary. <br /> <br />Mr. Mortier suggested that, as a condition of granting a waiver, the Renewal <br />Agency should put in the specifications that they maintain the authority to <br />regulate construction operations during the extra hours granted. Mr. Hunt agreed. <br /> <br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Gribskov to amend the motion to say Eugene Renewal <br />Agency write into specifications the right to regulate noise levels during the two <br />additional hours granted. <br /> <br />Vote taken on amendment. Hayward to authorize theCity Manager to proceed <br />with agreement on procedures for annexation of K-Mart facility. Assessment Lien Foreclosure - Mr. Gerald LeRoy Jones has paid in full to the City <br />all lien assessments, interest, penalties and court costs.
