<br />Council Bill No. 9@lQ - Zone to RG-PD the east side of Portland Street between 29th Avenue
<br />and 30th Avenue was submitted and read in full the first time October 27, 1969, and held over to the:')
<br />meeting of November 24, 1969 for second and third readings, and held over to this meeting for final
<br />passage upon completion of Planned Unit Development plans,
<br />
<br />Mr. McDonald moved seconded by Dr. Purdy that the bill be approved and given final passage. Rollcall
<br />vote. All councilmen present voting aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered' 15957.

<br />Council Bill 9041 - Changing zone from AG to RA, property located between Royal Avenue and
<br />Barger Drive arid west of Candlelight Drive, subject to submittal of final site plans, was submitted
<br />December 22, 1969', held over to the meeting of January 12, 1970 and given 1st, 2nd and 3rd readings,
<br />and held for final approval pending final site plan approval, and is brought back to this meeting
<br />for consideration.

<br />Council Bill 9042 - Change of zone from AG to RA property located south of Royal Avenue between
<br />Danebo Avenue and Bel tline Road (Mobile Towns.) was submitted and given first, second and third
<br />readings on December 22, 1969, and held for final approval pending submission of plans, and brought
<br />back to this meeting for consideration.

<br />vote. All councilmen present voting aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered 15959.

<br />Council Bill No. 9152 - calling public hearing June, 1970 re: Vacation of 13th Avenue East
<br />between Alder Street and Agate Street was submitted and read in full the first time at the meeting
<br />of May 4, 1970, and held over upon failure to receive unanimous approval for second reading at that
<br />meeting, is brought back for consideration.

<br />Mr. Mohr moved seconded by Mrs. Hayward that the bill be read the third time by council bill number
<br />only, with unanimous consent of the Council. Rollcall vote. All councilmen present voted aye except
<br />Mr. McDonald who voted no. Motion failed.

<br />Mr. Pat Flynn again requested the Council to hold action on this ordinance.
<br />
<br />Councilman Purdy explained that by passing the ordinance at this meeting, citizens of the city pf
<br />Eugene would know what the Council plans to do about collective bargaining. They can then decide
<br />between this ordinance and the charter amendment the firefighters have on the ballot. With this
<br />ordinance the Council is dempnstrating its good faith.
