<br /> ~ <br /> e 252 <br /> 7/13/70 <br /> I Mall Post Office, Continued Discussion - Councilman Hayward explained to Mr. Hedgepeth concerning <br /> the, Mall Post Office, that action had already been taken by the Council, but that she felt perhaps <br /> the Council might want to reconsider. <br /> Councilman McDonald explained that this Post Office was planned as a service to the citizens. <br /> Councilwoman Beal said that she understood the facility would be built at no cost to the cityzand <br /> turned over to the city, and would then be leased to the Post Office for $1.00 per year. <br /> Dr. Purdy said that this building would be veryssmall in size, and upkeep would not be too great. <br /> " <br /> Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Mr. Williams to reconsider Item lb of the Committee report concerning <br /> ,I construction of a branch post office in the Mall area. <br /> Councilman Williams said that it was his understanding the Post Office Department, as a rule, assumed' <br /> " complete responsibility for maintaining their facilities, and he suggested the motion be reconsidered <br /> and the Post Office Department contacted regarding this particular facility. <br /> e Vote taken on motion.
