<br /> I studies, and amend at a later date. Mr. George Keating agreed, and said that it worked a hardship

<br /> I 7:30 p.m. to consider the adoption of the amended electrical code. Motion carried. I

<br /> Request for Curbside Sidewalks, State Street Area - The City Manager read a letter from residents I
<br /> ,
<br /> of the area requesting sidewalks be curbside, rather than set back. The Eugene Renewal Agency has I
<br /> written concerning this matter, and pointed out that installation of mailboxes may be a problem. I
<br /> I
<br /> Councilman McDonald explained that sidewalks are curbside in his neighborhood, and that installation II
<br /> of mailboxes for mounted mail delivery has been worked out satisfactorily.
<br /> I Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Gribskov to approve the application of residents of the State Street
<br /> I'
<br /> area for curbside sidewalks. II

<br /> There was some discussion about the retention of trees. The Public Works Director assured the II
<br /> Council that the trees could be saved in either case.
