<br /> Appointment - Mr. Kenneth Thomas was appointed by Mayor Anderson to the Committee on Aging.

<br /> Councilwoman Hayward reminded the Council of her concern with the process of appointment, and that e
<br /> it had been decided a subcommittee should be formed to formulate new procedures. Mr. McDonald said I
<br /> he and staff had made progress in this direction and would bring a final package incorporating I
<br /> Council suggestions.

<br /> and will complete the commitment for having under construction sewers for a two year period. He
<br /> recommended award to low bidder in each project. ,
<br /> Mr. McDonald moved seconded by Mr. Teague that the contract be awarded to the low bidder for
<br /> Items 1, 2 and 3 above.
<br /> Mr. Clark Hayworth who owns property at 907 Crest Drive was concerned that he had already been
<br /> assessed for sewer, and asked if this project would apply to his property. e

<br /> Public Works Director explained the location and said this would not increase the assessment on
<br /> Mr. Hayworth's property. I,

<br /> Mr. H. E. Schaefers, 309 Hardy, w.as concerned with designation of the streets in the area, and ,..-
<br /> whether this assessment would affect his property. Public Works Director displayed a map of the ,
<br /> I
<br /> area and satisfied both Mr. Schaefers and Mr. Hayworth that they need not be concerned. !
<br /> Rollcall vote was taken on motion as stated. All councilmen voting aye, motion carried.
<br /> Bids, opened by Parks Department August 31, 1970-
<br /> Informal bids were received August 31, 1970 for construction of a concrete path through Celeste
<br /> Campbell area connecting Skinner's Butte Park trail system with sidewalks on and. around the Ferry
<br /> Street Bridge. Recommend award contract to K. A. Wardell, low bidder at $8682.35. Bidders were:
