<br />Councilman McDonald asked if.the Neighborhood Development Plan was on the State Streets area <br />only~ and was told it is. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Priorities~ Urban Renewal Projects Mrs. Campbell asked if the Council would be consulted <br />with regard to the next urban renewal project ~ saying. she would like to see priorities.:?et. <br />Manager said it is his understanding the staff is to make an effort to determine whether <br />Federal grant money is available for further planning with the possibility of developing <br />additional neighborhood development programs~ The intent specifically was to study the <br />northcentral area~ per>hap~ extending it 'to include that portion of the City lying between <br />13th and the River from Skinner>' s Butte to Chambers. Another area which might be con- <br />sider>ed is that lying between the University and downtown border>ed by the River and 18th. <br />He said there is no reason why the Council could not discuss other> neighborhoods for <br />p~iority consideration although there is no specific pToposal for doing so at ~histime~ <br />because the. Workable Program Neighborhood Analysis will determine where the need is greatest. <br />The Council could r>eview that Analysis infor>mation but would still need to know if finan- . <br />cial help will be avail~le. <br /> <br />In r>eply to Mr>s. Campbell ~Manager> explained. the Wor>kable Pr>ogr>am pr>ocess and its r>equir>ement <br />for> neighbor>hood analyses to determine condition of homes~ maintenance, availability of <br />public ser>vices, social pr>oblems~ use~ etc. The analyses are not maintained on a day-to-day <br />basis but reviewed per>iodically to keep up to date. He noted that renewal of the Wor>kable <br />Pr>ogr>am has not yet been achieved. <br /> <br />Mr. Mohr moved seconded by Mrs. Beal to adopt the resolution. Rollcall vote. Motion carried~ <br />all councilmen present voting aye. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2050 - Authorizing payment of bills, claims, and progress payments for period <br />Apr>il 24, 1972 to May 8, 1972~ was submitted. <br /> <br />Councilman Williams asked about the three-wheel vehicles in the amount of $3700, and was told <br />the item covered three velHcles. <br /> <br />Mr. Mohr moved seconded by Mrs. Beal to adopt the r>esolution. Motion carried, <br />all councilmen present voting aye. <br /> <br />Civil Service, Fire Fighters - Mrs. Campbell asked about the ,status of the problem <br />with regard to the Fi~e Fighters' stand ~n .civil service in the City.
