EWEB requests authorization for quitclaim deed clearing title to an easement <br />granted to Mountain States Power Company and now held by the City (Signor <br />_, property, 1924). . . , <br />2. EWEB requests authorization for street deed to the City for a portion of <br />Buck Street (EWEB Property), requested by the City. <br />Staff recommended approval of both requests. <br /> <br />Mrs. Bea1 moved seconded by Mrs. Campbell to authorize the _ conveYaIlces. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />D. Petition for paving and sanitary and storm sewers in Robins Glen Subdivision <br />Petitioned by owners of 77% of the property to be assessed. <br /> <br />Mrs. Bea1 moved seconded by Mrs. Campbell to accept the peti tion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />E. Segregation of Assessment - Art Clough, 954 Lorane Highway, requests segrega- <br />tion of sewer assessment against a portion of his property on Lorane Highway <br />west of Friendly Street. Balance remaining after segregation will be $645.72; <br />the amount paid for that portion separated is $398.80., <br /> <br />Mrs. Bea1 moved seconded by Mr. Hershner to approve the segregation. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />F. Conditional Use Permit Appeals <br />1. Fand1y Shelter House, 2308 Wi11amette Street, in R~g zone <br />2. McKro1a Nursery School, 2720 Potter Street, in R-1 zone <br /> <br />Both operations are permitted under conditional use r~quirements granted by the <br />Planning COmnUssion. Manager said 'the appellants as well as other interested <br />will be notified of the public hearing date. <br /> <br />Mr. Hershner moved seconded by Mrs. Campbell to hold a pub1i c hearing on both <br />appeals at the June 12, 1972 Council rneeting. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />G. Mobile Home Permits <br />1. Emerald Baseball Club requests use of mobile ,home for office purposes at <br />Civic Stadium. A small vacation-type trailer used for ticket office was <br />replaced by a mobile home without the proper procedure being fo1iL<owed. <br />Proper application has now been made and building department questions have <br />been presented to the petitioner. <br /> <br />2. Munn Motors <br />Boulevard, <br />to cover is <br /> <br />request use of mobile horne for watchman quarters at 1267 Railroad <br />Owner Frank Munn reports loss from pilferage and theft; insurance <br />prohibi ti ve . <br /> <br />." <br /> <br />Building Department has reviewed both requests from the standpoint of use and <br />there are no problems so long as building code requirements are met. <br /> <br />It was understood both items would be scheduled for public hearing. <br /> <br />, ' <br /> <br />H. Amazon Tennis Courts - Manager said in answer to Mrs. Campbell's recent in- <br />quiry concerning condition of the Amazon tennis courts that the Parks Depart- <br />ment reports the playing surface is all right and that need for resurfacing <br />is not anticipated for two or three years, if then. <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />K. Municipal Court Bail Schedule - Manager read a letter from Judge Frank Bocci <br />of the Municipal Court saying that bail on excessive noise violations has been <br />increased from $11 to $17 to $27 and will again probably be increased, this in <br />response to the Council's request that the Court be advised of concern about <br />repeated occurrences of noisy motor vehicles. <br /> <br />L. Correspondence <br />1. Petition from members of Chinese Art and History of Japanese Art classes <br />at the University of Oregon re: Viet Nam war and President Nixon's decision <br />to blockade North viet Nam. <br />2. National Credit Union Administration 1972 Thrift Honor Award received by <br />the Eugene Municipal Federal Credit Union.
