Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Anderson acknowledged the concern of the Center for provid- <br />ing housing for elderly people and the critical need in the community <br />f~r such housing. He said concern of the City is demonstrated <br />through many activities, involving the Committee on'Aging in providing <br />recreational facilities and a housing program. He explained that. <br />even though the Council is concerned with these prqblems, it is also <br />faced with established criteria for permits of this nature and judg- <br />ment is made on that criteria, not upon the endeavor to provide the <br />needed housing.
