LCOG Information Meeting - Letter was received from Ken Omlid, chairman of the <br />LCOG Board, suggesting a meeting of LCOG staff with the Council to discuss <br />iLCOG's activi ties and manner of providing adequate information to each of its <br />member agencies on LCOG programs, policies, and operations. It was und>2r- <br />istood t;ime would be set aside on a committee agenda in the near future for <br />this discussion. <br /> <br />CC. 1st Avenue Ramps, WaShington/Jefferson Bridge - Copies of Highway Department <br />staff report, wi th City staff input, were distributed to Council members for \ <br />\ <br />their information and study prior to the April 30, 1973 hearing. The report ' <br />deals with proposed removal of access ramps at 1st Avenue upon opening of I-105\ <br />.from WaShington/Jefferson Bridge to 6th and 7th Avenues. Reconsideration of the matter and further public hearing i <br />was requested on the basis that the residents involved were not provided adequate\ <br />.opportunity for hearing with regard to the design plan for the facility. Manager' <br />: noted administrative hearing was held by staff in the neighborhood and public <br />:hearing before the Council at time of bid award. Also, the contract was awarded, <br />;signed, and in the hands of the contractor. City Attorney advised that problems <br />: would be encountered in renegotiating a contract and that; there is no legal reason <br />: for reconsideration, this in view of warning by Mr. Richmond that writ of review <br />,might be sought. <br />! . <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />; Councilwoman Beal asked if something could be done about the parking area for <br />! Everyone's Market whi ch will be affected by the wi dening of the street. It is public right- <br />, of-way and will be used for the widening project. <br />I <br />~Mayor Anderson suggested that utilities companies should be notified with regard <br />'. to underground wiring on Echo Hollow.
