Ms. Ehrman recommended the council take no additional action because the vote 4It which failed to approve the amendment denied it. Mr. Holmer said the council vote also failed to deny the amendment. He favor- ed referring the matter to the MPC. Ms. Schue did not think the Eugene City Council should abdicate its responsi- bility to the MPC. Mr. Miller was especially concerned about the possibility that approval of the amendment would set a precedent. Ms. Schue moved, seconded by Mr. Hansen, to table action on amendment 8-20 to January 22, 1986. Roll call vote; the motion carried unanimously, 8:0.
