The item was not moved. <br /> 5. Eugene Sports Program <br /> Mr. Bennett said the program benefits young children of all groups. It is <br /> operated mainly by volunteers. It leverages public funds. It includes a <br /> contract with ESP to maintain some of the playing fields. <br /> The vote was 4:3 with Councilors Bennett, Rutan, Miller, and Schue voting aye <br /> and Councilors Wooten, Bascom, and Holmer voting nay. The program was not <br /> moved. <br /> Mayor Obie suggested councilors contact the staff about modifying some of the <br /> programs.
