M
Interested Applicants
InterestedApplicants
9/26/2017 1:36:51 PM
Personal Interest Contribution
Traveling, biking, walking group, quilting, reading, music
and volunteering are my main interests. Visiting other
countries and riving through all but three states in the
U.S. have encourage me to learn more about the world as
does lessons learned from others who belong to the
variety of organization to which I belong.
No SUDDlemental Answers
In addition to our children, the local parks were the most
significant involvement of my adult life. As the first fulltime
landscape architect (hired 1963) and the Director of Parks
(from 1964 to 1994), my husband, Ed, was responsible for
developing most of today's bike and running trails, river
front parks (Alton Baker and Muarie Jacobs) and, with
other local parks directors and citizens, for promoting Mt.
Pisgah and the Willamette Greenway. Our travels also
illustrated the great value spaces dedicated to recreation
and public use add to the enjoyment, health and economic
well-being spaces dedicated to recreation and public use
add to the enjoyment, health and economic well-being of a
community's citizens. The Hult Center for the Performing
Arts and Hilton/Eugene Conference Center have taken our
city a new direction in economic development that has
encouraged a growth of performing arts groups of all
genres and more activity downtown. Development of the
downtown water front with options of dining, living,
shopping and opportunities for exercise, attending events
and open spaces for the public to gather will be a well used
benefit to our city. This is an exciting project for Eugene
and I would love to be a part of it.
Page 91 of 112 y C7
