"-, "

.'

e

information next week. Mayor Keller added that this was discussed by the League
of Oregon Cities Executive Committee. They felt that if the cities' revenues
were not reduced, the cities would accept it, but that it should include a
"sunset" clause, to disband the committee in June 1982. They will be keeping a
close watch on this item.

Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously.

Council Bill 2407 was read the second time by council bill number only.

Ms. Schue moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, that the bill be approved
and given final passage. Approval of Long-Range Fiscal Projection (memo distributed)

Mr. Gleason stated that this is a requiremen't of State law, but due to the
categories in the projections, the figures are meaningless. Ms. Wooten asked
how close last year's projection was to the actual budget. Mr. Wong stated that
he does not have any comparison data. Mr. Gleason added that the City is
developing its own five-year projection, which will be shared with the Budget
Committee. Ms. Wooten stated that it seems absurd that this is required when it
is not useful. Ms. Smith suggested that if the City format is workable, it
be sent along with this required projection. Mr. Gleason stated that this would
be brought before the legislative subcommittee and it can make a recommendation
to the State Legislature.

-

Ms. Schue moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, to approve the long-range
fiscal projection. Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously.

F.

Segregation of Assessments Located at the West Side of Willamette,
South of Coachman (Vic Bender--Willamette Valley Title Company)
(SE 81-5)

Ms. Schue moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, to approve the segregation
of assessments as noted.
