Councilor Smith suggested that the Council's Legislative Task Force discuss the 2~ problem of county funding of these intergovernmental agencies and report to the full council and the Budget Committee on the impact on the City of the County's failure to provide funding, so that the City can make decisions on how to respond to this problem. Mr. Whitlow said that City staff was following this matter closely and would keep the council informed. Mr. Lindberg said that the Joint Social Services Committee would meet on July 1, 1982, to discuss reallocation of funds in response to the cutbacks. Public hearing was opened. There being no public testimony, public hearing was closed. II. ORDINANCE FOR SECOND READING A. Consideration of Hearing Panel Minutes of June 21 and Findings of Fact (findings, minutes distributed) Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel, to approve the Hearing Panel minutes of June 21, 1982, and adopt the findings of fact. Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously. B. Levying of Assessments - Council Bill 2487 was read the second time by council bill number only. CB 2487--An ordinance levying assessments for sanitary sewer to serve Willakenzie Island annexation area #8 (A/Z 78-11), generally including Bar-M Subdivision and property along Willakenzie Road, Best Lane, Van Avenue, Bogart Lane, Bailey Lane, Randall Street, and Satre Street. Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel, that the bill be approved and given final passage. Roll call vote. All councilors present voting aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered 18993. Mr. Gleason reminded councilors that the council would vote on the FY 83 budget at its June 30, 1982, meeting.
