e Responding to a question from Mr. Obie, Tim Sercombe, City Attorney's Office, said he would report back to the council with more information. He said that the question of cost-effectiveness would also have to be considered, that is, would it cost more to collect the tax than the revenues generated. Councilor Obie noted that 5,000 people would be attending a conference at the University on sports medicine and said he felt that collecting for such large conventions would be cost-effective. Councilor Obie said the memo from Mr. Wong had stated that bed and breakfast establishments were not covered under the Room Tax ordinance. Mr. Obie proposed that the council discuss amending the ordinance to include such establishments. Mayor Keller agreed and suggested that such an amendment be prepared for council consideration. E. Appointment to the Bicycle Committee Mayor Keller announced his appointment of Ruthann Maguire, 1692 Jefferson Street, to the Bicycle Committee for an indefinite term. F. Hult Center Budget Discussion Mayor Keller noted that the discussion of the Hult Center budget that had originally been scheduled for the May 25 council meeting would probably be rescheduled for a later date as a result of action taken on the budget by the Budget Committee at its May 17, 1983, meeting. e II. City Council Minutes of April 20, 1983, and April 25, 1983 (minutes distributed) Ms. Schue moved, seconded by Mr. Obie, to approve the City Council minutes of April 20, 1983, and April 25, 1983. Call for Public Hearing re: Withdrawal of Property Located on the Northeast Corner of River Road and Division Avenue from the Santa Clara Water District (Hayden Island, Inc.) (A/Z 82-6) (resolution distributed) Res. No 3775--A resolution calling a public hearing for June 8, 1983, to consider withdrawal of property located on the northeast corner of River Road and Division Avenue from the Santa Clara Water District.
