<br /> Public hearing was opened. <br />e There being no testimony, the public hearing was closed. <br /> CB 2677--An ordinance authorizing rezoning from 1-2 Light-Medium <br /> Industrial District to C-2 Community Commercial District <br /> for property located at the southwest corner of 7th <br /> Place and Garfield Street. <br /> Ms. Wooten moved, seconded by Mr. Lindberg, that findings sup- <br /> porting the rezoning as set forth in Planning Commission staff <br /> notes and minutes of July 19, 1983, be adopted by reference <br /> thereto; that the bill be read the second time by council bill <br /> number only, with unanimous consent of the council; and that <br /> enactment be considered at this time. Roll call vote; the motion <br /> passed unanimously, 5:0. <br /> Council Bill 2677 was read the second time by council bill number only. <br /> Ms. Wooten moved, seconded by Mr. Lindberg that the bill be <br /> approved and given final passage. Roll call vote. All councilors <br /> present voting aye, the bill was declared passed (and became <br /> Ordinance No. 19176). <br /> 3. Property Located at the Northwest Corner of 4th Avenue and <br /> Jefferson Street from 1-2 Light-Medium Industrial District <br /> to R-3 Multiple-Family Residential District (John and Bess <br /> Brandt) (Z 83-8) (map, background information distributed) <br />e Mr. Gleason introduced the agenda item. Mr. Croteau, Planning, presented the <br /> staff report, stating that the request for rezoning from 1-2 Light-Medium <br /> Industrial District to R-3 Multiple-Family Residential District is for property <br /> located on the northwest corner of 4th Avenue and Jefferson Street. He stated <br /> the property contains a vacant building which was previously used for commercial <br /> purposes. Mr. Croteau said that the letter distributed to the council was <br /> received that day from Ronald Burke. He explained that the letter is requesting <br /> a postponement of the agenda item until the council meeting on October 24, 1983. <br /> He said that the request is apparently based on a change in plans for the <br /> future use of the building. Mr. Croteau said that staff would support a post- <br /> ponement to the date specified so that renotification of the applicants would <br /> not be necessary. <br /> Ms. Wooten moved, seconded by Mr. Lindberg, that item I,B,3 be <br /> postponed until October 24, 1983. The motion passed unanimously, <br /> 5:0. <br /> 4.
