<br />reported that the State Highway staff wanted the project to be a showcase for <br />4It Eugene and for the State. Mr. Bauske agreed, stating that the cooperation <br />between the two staffs set the tone for the committee. <br /> <br />Responding to a question by Councilor Ehrman regarding the design plans, <br />Mr. Hansen said he and the committee felt that the State had been honest in <br />its efforts and that the City would have the full cooperation of the State in <br />completion of the project as designed. Addressing the issue of the trees, he <br />suggested that some tree-banking be performed for the subsequent phases of the <br />widening project. He suggested that the Parks Department study the possibility <br />of acquiring trees for this purpose. <br /> <br />Mayor Keller said the council appreciated the work of the Design Review <br />Committee.
