MINUTES e Eugene City Council City Council Chamber October 17, 1984 11:57 a.m. COUNCILORS PRESENT: Brian Obie, Freeman Holmer, John Ball (12:05-12:38), Ruth Bascom, Dick Hansen (11:57-12:19), Emily Schue. COUNCILORS ABSENT: Debra Ehrman, Cynthia Wooten. Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, was called to order by His Honor Mayor Gus Keller who said the order of the agenda would be changed to ensure that a quorum of the council is present for those items on the agenda requiring council action. 1. ROUTINE ITEM FOR COUNCIL APPROVAL: CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 24, 1984 (minutes distributed) Mr. Obie moved, seconded by Ms. Schue, to approve the City Council minutes of September 24, 1984. Ro 11 ca 11 vote; the motion carried unanimously, 5:0. I!. PUBLIC HEARING: STREET NAME CHANGE FROM TIVEY-WHEELER ROAD TO GOOD- PASTURE ISLAND ROAD (SC 84-1) (memo, map, background material distri- e buted) City Manager Micheal Gleason introduced the agenda item. Jim Croteau of the Planning Department presented the staff report. He said the Planning Commission recommended approval of the street name change. It was routine. Mayor Keller opened the public hearing. There being no requests to testify, the public hearing was closed. CB 2784--An ordinance changing Tivey-Wheeler Road to Goodpasture Island Road. Mr. Obie moved, seconded by Ms. Schue, that the bill be read the second time by council bill number only, with unanimous consent of the Council, and that enactment be considered at this time. Roll call vote; the motion carried unanimously, 5:0. Council Bill 2784 was read the second time by council bill number only. Mr. Obie moved, seconded by Ms. Schue, that the bill be approved and given final passage.
