<br />- <br /> <br />Mr. Obie was joined on stage by members of his family as Ms. Goldman <br />administered him the oath of office as Mayor of the City of Eugene. He <br />thanked the members of his family, the City staff, and others who had <br />supported him during his campaign. He also thanked Karen and Ed Kammerer and <br />Royce Saltzman for their musical performances prior to the ceremony. He <br />invited the audience to join the council for refreshments and entertainment <br />in the lobby after the ceremony and then in the Conference Center for dancing. <br /> <br />IV. STATE OF THE CITY ADDRESS <br /> <br />Mayor Obie presented his State of the City address which outlined the parties <br />to be involved and the major projects proposed for his "Eugene Agenda."
