Wong, Finance Director <br /> <br />Subject: Responses to May 20 Follow-up Items <br /> <br />At your May 20 worksession, you directed staff to follow-up on several items. <br />We have prepared responses to some of the items and have a status report on <br />the remainder. The follow-up items are as follows: <br /> <br />1. Per capita expenditures and major revenue sources of comparable cities. <br />Status -- Budgets have been requested from several Oregon and Washington <br />cities; analysis should be available in late June. <br /> <br />2. Fiscal schedules by individual project with all resources and require- <br />ments. <br />Status -- Included in packet. <br /> <br />3. Description of Tax Increment concept and response to specific questions. <br />Status -- Included in packet. <br /> <br />4. Surtax yield on Federal and State "Taxable Balance." <br />Status -- Information being developed for distribution at worksession. <br /> <br />5. Alternative project sequencing to "even out" cashflow requirements. <br />Status -- Further direction required from Council; see Agenda item #2. <br /> <br />6. Income Tax yields with low-income exemption. <br />Status -- Information being developed for distribution at worksession. <br /> <br />7.
