F. 1 ,000 Friends of Oregon e Mayor Obie invited the local representative of the 1,000 Friends of Oregon to inform the council what the organization intended when it offered free legal service to help people interpret the goals and directions in the Metro Area General Plan. Mayor Obie thought the offer might create encumbrances to the City processes. Mayor Obie also asked the Eugene Bar Association to reflect on the ethics of the action of the 1 ,000 Friends of Oregon. He suggested the Bar Association consider providing legal service to the City and other people to help with their protection. G. New Public Service Officer City Manager Micheal Gleason introduced Barbara McDonald, who will begin serving as the Public Service Officer on July 1. H.
