Obie. <br /> 1. ITEMS FROM MAYOR AND COUNCIL, APPOINTMENTS, ANNOUNCEMENTS, AGENDA <br /> ADJ USTMENTS <br /> A. Fl ora 1 Decora ti ons on Ma 11 <br /> Councilor Ehrman said the floral decorations on the Downtown Mall enhance the <br /> a rea. She understood the containers were replanted by the Eugene Downtown <br />- Association (EDA). She asked the staff to write EDA officials thanking them <br /> for the decora ti ons. <br /> Councilor Schue agreed with Ms. Ehrman. Ms. Schue asked the staff to mention <br /> the subterranean terrace in front of the Park Willamette building. She sa i d <br /> it looks much better than it did last year. <br /> B. Alton Baker Park <br /> Councilor Bascom said the Metropolitan Wastewater Management Commission (MWMC) <br /> has approved the use of the old Springfield sewage plant by the Willamalane <br /> Park District as the Willamette Nature Center. The City Council will be asked <br /> to approve another site for the surge basin. <br /> C. Letter to the Editor from Mr. Holmer <br /> Referring to a letter in The Re~ister Guard this morning, Councilor Holmer <br /> said he did not write to the edltor on Clty Council stationery or sign the <br /> 1 etter a s a Ci ty Counci lor. <br /> D.
