RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION <br />- -" Based on the processes involved in developing the draft Riverfront Study, <br /> e----..,-- supporting background information generated as part of those processes, <br /> and policy direction resulting from development of the study, the staff <br /> recommends that the City Council take the following actions: <br /> 1. Adopt the Ri verfront Speci a 1 Area Study by ordi nance, bas i ng <br /> that action on the work of the Riverfront Study Committee, the <br /> public hearing and modification of the draft study by the <br /> Planning Commission, and public hearing and further <br /> modification of the draft study by the council as outlined in <br /> Attachment E. <br /> - 2. Adopt by ordi nance the amendment to the Eugene-Springfield <br /> Metropolitan Area General Plan (as detailed in Attachment F) <br /> basing that action on: the findings (also contained in <br /> Attachment F); the concurrence by the City of Springfield and <br /> Lane County; the City Council's public hearing process on the <br /> proposed amendment; and the council's own discussions on this <br /> matter. <br /> 3. Forward the Metropolitan Plan amendment to the Lane Council of <br /> Governments Board for ratification.
