...
e
M E M 0 RAN 0 U M
DATE: August 21, 1985
TO: Micheal Gleason, City Manager
FROM: Ed''Iin R. Smith, Hult Center Executive Director
SUBJECT: PATRON USER FEE AMENDi'-IENT
Attached are copies of documents with regard to a change in the
City Ordinance relating to the Patron User Fee.
This change permits the Hult Center to give and/or allow outside
promoters to give complimentary tickets to shOl'ls without being
responsible for paying the Patron User Fee. This makes the Center
consistent with industry standards and expectations. --
The change to the Ordinance also permits Patron User Fee-exempt
exchange of tickets for services (primarily for advertising with
local media). This is also standard industry practice.
This Ordinance also corrects the name of the center to Hult Center
for the Performing Arts, instead of Eugene Performing Arts Center.
Failure of this Ordinance to receive approval would result iri lost
business from promoters and media who are not prepared to pay for
services otherwise and elsewhere received free.
Please place on Council Agenda.
rb
ERS: In
3/21/35 e,
,\t tachmcnts
