He said the City <br /> Manager does not have authority to suspend parking fees for City-sponsored <br /> events. This ordinance would grant him that authority. He recolllllended <br /> approval of the ordinance. <br /> CB 2858--An ordinance concerning off-street parking facility <br /> fees; amending Section 5.285 of the Eugene Code, 1971; <br /> and declaring an emergency. <br /> Ms. Wooten moved, seconded by Mr. Hansen, that the bill be read <br /> the second time by council bill number only, with unanimous <br /> consent of the council, and that enactment be considered at <br /> this time. <br /> Answering questions from Ms. Ehrman and Mr. Hansen, Mr. Gleason said the <br /> council will not have to consider suspending parking fees for City-sponsored <br /> events, if the ordinance is approved.
